Our range of cosmetic treatments includes tooth whitening, white fillings, crowns and veneers. Ask your dentist for more information…

  • Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening is a safe, non-invasive method of improving the appearance of your teeth. We use a system called ‘Home Whitening’ where we supply you with custom-made, comfortable, soft whitening trays and a whitening gel kit. These whitening trays are loaded with the gel and worn for a few hours each day or overnight, typically over a two-week period to achieve the desired outcome. A choice of whitening gel is available.

Ask your dentist if tooth whitening is right for you and which whitening gel would suit you best.

At Portishead Dental Practice we feel that prevention is better than cure. Our Hygienist will work with you to ensure your teeth and gums remain healthy by both cleaning your teeth and helping you achieve consistent, excellent oral hygiene. She will be able to provide you with a personalised oral hygiene plan to support you in maintaining healthy, clean teeth and her treatments will remove any plaque, tartar and stains.

This service is provided on a private basis. Please enquire at reception or with your dentist with regards the cost.

  • White Fillings

White fillings (composites) are a durable, aesthetic alternative to traditional silver amalgam restorations. As they’re not suitable for every situation, ask your dentist about the best solution for you.

  • Bonding to Reshape Teeth

Using white filling material (composites), teeth can be re-contoured to change their shape or close unsightly spaces. They can also be used to mask any marks or defects affecting your teeth. This is a minimally invasive, reversible procedure and can provide a cost-effective, rapid improvement to your smile.

  • Aesthetic Crowns

A crown is a restoration bonded over the surface of the tooth and is used as a protective covering for badly decayed or broken-down teeth. This maintains the appearance, strength and function of the tooth. We offer a range of crowns including full metal and aesthetic ceramic restorations from quality UK laboratories. Speak to your dentist about the best solution for you.
